Changes from an outside utility, such as the infamous Exiv2.

For about a month, many maintenance upgrades ago, they would change on reloading an image. Since then, update after update, they haven't been doing so, prompting me to close the image, return to Browser, and reopen the file to see the changed comment.

Is this a bug, or could there be another issue affecting this?

My understanding is that Dominius means that info displayed in fullscreen mode is not updated by XnView MP until you exit fullscreen mode and reopen the image.

I've tried myself using XnView MP 0.99.7 and changed IPTC:Headline using XnView Classic as "external program". XnView MP did't update the displayed info even when navigating to next image and then back to edited image. Only exiting fullscreen and reopening image forced an update. When disabling "Keep current image" in "Tools > Settings | View | Misc" the problem no longer occurs.

In XnView Classic navigating to next image and then back to edit image does show the updated info so I think that this is a bug in XnView MP.

@Dominius: Can you confirm that this is the problem you mean and experience?
