selecting files for a slideshow

Hello,

Is it possible to improve the slideshow feature so that you could easier select the files for the slideshow and change their order?

What I have in mind is a dedicated <slideshow mode> of kinds, where you would work with the thumbnails as normal but:
1.but you could drag and drop them (like in Picasa) to impose a manual display/sort order,
2.you could delete thumbnails and use paste and copy, but that would not remove/add physical files but only write to .sld slideshow file.

That feature would make preparing slideshows more visual and intuitive.

Cheers,
Kefir

There is "Remove" to remove from list. :?

Please explain "use paste and copy".

I mean preparing a slideshow not in a "Slide Show" window that pops-up when you press CTRL+L, but in the normal thumbnail view, especially modified for slideshows

Instead of viewing the folder content, you would view/add/remove files to/from a slideshow .sld file. For example, instead of using the up, dow bullons in "Slide Show" window, you could drag and drop, copy/paste/cut thumbnails to change their order in a slideshow.

That is just a different way of preparing a slideshow.

Hiya,

excellent proposal from Kefir some time ago! Helps a lot when you mix similar media from different sources. But probably quite demanding in terms of programming. Any scheduling in that respect already?
