Indicate folder is ZIP with special icon and the file extension

Hello,

Zipped folders now behave as normal folders (viewtopic.php?t=29736), which is handy.

Nevertheless, I would like to be able to know that the folder is a zipped one. I mean I would like to see a special icon and the file extension. Perhaps it could be a setting option...

Thanks for listening

Keep the good work !!

Hello,

Yes, please, something like a " zipped folder" icon or something else, just to be able to easily distinguish true folders from files behaving as "compressed folders".

Thanks for listening

More accurately, "archive", rather than "zipped folder".
As it isn't a folder (well, except the folders within an archive, of course), nor are all archives of zip format. (and there is no reason to have an icon for only zip-files, and not other archives, such as rar, 7z, tar, and gzip among many others …and, of course, cbz, cbr, and so on, as those are simple archives (cbz being zip, cbr being rar) with image-files in, for storing comics. Also epub, as they are also just zip-files, just with a specific set/framework of files and folders in them)
Possibly with a different icon, for the different formats, which would be a bit of a plus, but just a generic archive icon, would be sufficient.

Yes, I thought that, but possibly an icon only for archive formats that XnView MP can open?

Are there archive formats that XnView recognizes, but cannot open? If so, they should have different icons, to indicate that they can/can't be opened …or just icons on those that can be opened, as you suggest.
