Add Shadow to Font in Slideshow

Hi,
I´m new here. I use XnViewMP mostly for a Slideshow where I show some IPTC Information on the picture. The Problem is, when the picture has very light colors you nearly can´t read the IPTC Information. As there are also dark images i can´t use dark color for the font.
The solution could be adding Shadow to the font. When I click on the Font-Button in the Slideshow Options I can see a Button for Shadow. (Version for MacOS) It ads Shadow to the font in this Window in the Preview, but when I start the Slideshow, it disapears
Is it possible to use the font with shadow in the Sildeshow?
