XnView Software

Hello:

I use XnView MP Windows Version 1.0 64bits (Apr 28 2022).

When I "Save as", I remain in the original file, and the "Save as" name file is a copy. I feel that this is unusual. How can I "Save as" and be 'transported" to the file with the "Save as" name?

Thank you, Hans, for your request. I'm not 100% sure whether I understood your problem right but please try out checking "Synchronize browser when view is closed" checkbox which you can find in Tools > Settings | Interface | Interface. From then on XnView will update/synchronize the path of XnView browser when closing an image view.

In addition to the option mentioned by Helmut, you may also want to check your configuration in Tools → Settings… → General → File operations:

• Save as for 'Save' action
• For 'Save as', use original pathname
• For 'Save as', use original format
• Use output filename after 'Save as'

I did not use your suggestion Helmut, because XnTriq had the answer (thanks). It now works. Helmut, thanks anyway!
