Reorganizing photos into folders based on exif data

Hi, not sure if this tool is capable of it, but is there a way to reorganize photos into folders based on metadata. I know of the batch convert/rename based on metadata, but I dont see any way to organize photos into folders based on metadata. I have a 'trip' of pictures in my sd card that I want to move to date based folders (pictures/2022/07/photoname.arw) like PhotoPrism does with its automatic import.
I tried with the rename tool, however when I try to use a '/' in a rename in order to delineate a folder level for the rename, it just replaces it with a different character. Is there a way to reorganize like this in xnview MP? Love the software!

It was possible in earlier versions...
If you can use exif dates, you can try "Import and sort"
Otherwise you can call exiftool... If needed I can help for this in 2 or 3 days

Curious why it was removed. I did a test run with import and sort, but it doesnt really fit with my workflow of tagging items to remove, then deleting/moving them, leaving only the good pictures. On top of that, its not moving the 'sidecar' jpg files that are created alongside the raws, like the Move function did, so not sure it will work for my needs.
My end goal is to tag bad pictures, and move only the tagged pictures out of the folder with all the images into their own 'reject' folder, sorted by YYYY/MM/photo.ext

...

It was not different in earlier versions.
We must first create the folder that will receive renamed photos
Then using \folder in the new name will move photos
ex :
You want to move 2021-08-03-photo01.jpg into 2021 subfolder
- create the subfolder 2021
replace 2021 by 2021\2021 in rename function ...
