XnView Software

Video preview in Browser window isn't zoomed to fit, so it shows only on a small part of the Preview pane, if this pane is big.

The same thing happens when we double-click on video file to open it in the Editor.

Hello I get the same with all formats and full screen/windowed, not just preview. I tested with videos from https://freetestdata.com/video-files/.
I use https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xnviewmp on:
OS: Manjaro 21.3.7 Ruah
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 5.15.60-1-MANJARO
DE: KDE 5.96.0 / Plasma 5.24.6
WM: KWin
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (navy_flounder, LLVM 14.0.6, DRM 3.42, 5.15.60-1-MANJARO)

FFMPEG 5.0.1

Also the same problem when I try the Flatpack version.

Strange, i'm not able to reproduce

I have the same problem with MP1.01 and 1.02 and any videos both full screen and display in window.
The mouse cursor is not visible in full screen.
I turn back to MP1.0

Windows 10 famille, Nvidia GTX 960

I added "useInternalVideoPlayer=false " in th file Xnview.ini / [General],
and MP1.02 works now perfectly !

K_Lite_Codec_Pack_Basic_v17.1.5 is installed.

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.3.0. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
