Batch Convert > Resize > Longest side > Percentage mismatch
Posted: Tue Sep 13, 2022 7:16 pm
This bug applies to both XnView MP and standalone XnConvert
Batch Convert > Resize > Longest side option will produce wrong results if applied.
For example
1) source file: rectangular 2000x3000px image (width x height)
2) Batch Convert > Resize
3) mode Longest Side
4) 50,00% (it can be 70% or whatever, but lets stay at 50%)
5) Reduce Only
expected results: we should get 1000x1500px image
real results: we will get 667x1000px image (i.e. half of the width, but not height)
I think that the value is taken from the "width" of the image, regardless of what is specified in the mode field.
Would be nice if you also fix this bug in XnConvert... and maybe also update XnConvert with Lanczos2 resample method!
Thank you.
Btw, this forum search is bugged too
. It will mark any possible word as "too common" word, for example it is impossible to search for "Batch Convert"
