Hi,

I'm trying to import files from a Pentax K-1 camera on my Windows PC. It's a mix of DNG and JPEG files in folders that are date-based. For example:

G:\DCIM\100_0914

0914 refers to Sep 14.

Each such folder contains files that are named _K1_****.DNG and _K1_****.JPG.

When I import the files, I use the import feature in the browser, I specify G:\DCIM as the source folder, and tick the "Include subfolders". I set the destination and I tick "Subfolder" option to create subfolder in the yyyy-mm-dd format.

I use the exact same setting for my other cameras, and all files are always imported, but for some reason, the Pentax JPG files are never imported. I can see them in both the XnView MP's browser and the file explorer, too.

Is there some setting or option that I can mess with that would allow me to import the JPGs?

all other files are correctly imported? jpeg files use uppercase extension?

Yes. DNG files and movies are imported correctly. And yes, JPG files use uppercase extension.

I also want to add that, if the card only contains JPG files, XnView MP will happily download them.

i've tried and no problem here. Could you send me a folder to reproduce and a screenshot of 'import&sort' dialog?

What do you have in settings>File list?

Here it is:

JPEG files do show up once I manually copy them from the card (within XNView), so it's not that XNView isn't able to show them.

it's crazy, if i use your .ini & the folder sent, the output folder contains the 2 files

Haha, I know it's crazy. It works with all other cameras no problem.

Maybe it's got something to do with how Pentax formats the card? I could create an image of the card and send it over maybe. If you're interested I'll look into that.

could you try to import the folder that you have sent to me?

I've tried it and it only imports the DNG, not JPG.

One more thing I've tried is adding the filter for file extensions. If I put just 'jpg' in the filter, it imports just the JPG files. If I put 'dng;jpg', it imports only DNGs.
