Using SMB network share is extremely slow

When I try to open a folder that is a network share on an SMB server, it takes an extremely long time to scan the folder. Looking at task manager, network speeds of less than 2 megabits are attained. I can get about 800megabits of speed when copying files with Windows file manager from the same share.

I am using a gigabit network and an SSD drive being shared via a linux server running SMB. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks.

File operation with SMB on a NAS is slow for me, copying moving 50 MBs of data takes about one minute on a GBit NW
I'm on v 1.3.1 and a MacBook Air M1
thanks for checking!
