Hi, I like this batch converter a lot. A couple of issues:

Rotate result is quite bad. Jaggy. Nowhere the same league as Photoshop.

Levels should have also manual setting. Automatic is not always doing right thing as there may be random areas (outside edges of the scan) that are blown or extra dark.

Interface:
Backspace key should remove items in input view. Using onscreen buttons is clumsy, would be much better to have key shortcuts.
Ditto going forward and back in actions view, use arrows. Also go first and go last should be available; preferably with key shortcut like shift-arrow.

I am impressed of the JPEG compression capability, I got much better file sizes than with stand alone compressors (admittedly I compressed the bjzs out of them scans). Thanks.

Agreed, if the slider were more sensitive for small adjustments near zero that would be a help... Perhaps the slider control law could be made non-linear in some way...

Can you elaborate on how the Photoshop rotate interface operates?

Good news, that option is already available in the Actions > Map dropdown! Curves too...

Yes, that might be worth Pierre considering, but currently in the Rotate action the arrows change the rotate angle, I think?

Edit: In general it is best to post separate issues and suggestions as separate threads, so that your comments on the rotate action could have been one post, your suggestions on possible keyboard shortcuts another, etc. It makes it easier to manage different issues, and could increase the chance of an issue getting the developer's attention.

OK, I used wrong name, I do not think there is actual "rotate tool" in XnConvert. I meant "Automatic deskew", Very useful but jaggy results.

OK, I used wrong name, I do not think there is actual "rotate tool" in XnConvert.

The 'rotate' action I was referring to is Image > Rotate, and the control interface could certainly be refined to make it easier to obtain the desired result...

When comparing the effect with that in Photoshop similar image pixel sizes should be used, smaller images will tend to produce more jaggy results.
