XnView Software

I've been using xnviewmp for a couple of weeks and have come to the conclusion:

1. xmp sidecars do slow down (quite a bit) xnviewmp on my "almost large" image collection of around 50,000 images.
2. I don't really need the sidecars. I use xnviewmp to find images then I process them with either art or darktable


How do I configure xnviewmp to not write sidecars and have only xmviewmp keep track of the categories and ratings?

If you don't want a XMP file, go to the Settings in the Browser/Metadata menu

Yes, I did but I want t have xnviewmp track the data.
