Metadata - edit dialogs
There are too many metadata related dialogs and they all look different.

Suggestion

Merge all Metadata related dialogs in a single dialog and minimize use of tabs (see how Photoshops' dialog look much cleaner over GIMP's one).
As for me, Photoshop's UI is the best one here as it is easy to use, understand and navigate.
  • details may remain split into groups or changed to scrollable
  • additional controls/indicators
    • filter
      to narrow down fields
    • settings
can be icon (cog/burger) in the top right corner OR menu item in the navigation list
    • star/pin
to add some field/groups to Favorites/Pinned custom group
    • blue dot
to indicate that group has data
    • (optional) X
to clear selected group, probably its better to have this functionality only as button, close to "Clear all fields"

Examples
  • modal dialog (e.g. Photoshop, GIMP, digiKam)

  • side panel (e.g. Lightroom, ACDSee)

  • favourites (e.g. Directory opus)

Good, but... with a hotkey to access directly to a specific tab.
Example: Ctrl+[Letter] ---> Open All-In-One window with all metadata.
Then, in All-In-One metadata window ---> Alt+[Letter] jump directly to specific Tab. Example: Alt+G go to GPS Tab, Alt+X go to XMP Tab, and so on.

The image can go if the space is needed but if it's going to otherwise be a blank area why not leave the image. It may help some to write the description and remember what image they are working with.
