Batch scanning - Only one scan possible

OS: Windows11 / 64bit xnview mp 1.3.1
When using File-Batch scanning with Canon Scan Gear, only the first picture is scanned and placed in the chosen folder. The scan-window then stays opened but the button for executing the next scan is deactivated. So 'batch scanning'' is not possible.
Effect: When using batch scanning, only one scan can be done with opened xnview-batch-scan-window. Then window has to be closed and called again to do another single 'batch' scan.
To reproduce:
1. Click File - Batch Scan
2. Scan
3. When scan is done, Button 'Scan' is deactivated.
Actual behaviour (bug): <Batch Scan nonfunctional>
Expected behaviour: <Successive scans possible in one opened xnview-window>
