Windows 10.

1. make xnviewmp the default image program.
2. rename a file to ".jpg (which is, Unicode Character 'FULLWIDTH QUOTATION MARK' (U+FF02))
3. Double click and try to open the file, or just run from the cmd:

Code: Select all

D:\>""C:\Program Files\XnViewMP\xnviewmp.exe" ".jpg
Result: xnviewmp says "File not found".

Other programs have no issue to open this file, such as mspaint.exe etc.

You can actually open the image through xnview browser mode. Just that you can't directly open the file.

I was wondering if there is any update on this issue.

I use Chinese/Japanese filenames a lot and encounter this bug frequently. It's quite annoying.

Thanks!

Nope, only this character.

And I have no problem to open such filename with any other unicode-supported applications. XnView is the only program I encountered this bug.
