Re: 1.4.0 - Selected files are not highlighted in browser.
For me they are kinda highlighted, but only the last selected file is highlighted with blue color. Other files are "highlighted" with white color, and it's really hard to see. On the first screenshot I have 3 files in the middle selected.
Another bug, probably related to this one. If you have some selected files, and then alt+tab back and forth, and click somewhere to remove selection, some parts of blue selection outline are still visible. 2nd screenshot, there are blue vertical lines around 3rd and 4th images.

Ok, I didn't have "Thumbnails + Labels" ON, I prefer "Thumbnails + Filenames" most of the time
First bug, still can't reproduce but the Second bug, I can see a 1 pixel displacement at the bottom of the "Thumbnail Label" which goes away when clicked upon. Could be a video driver thing too

Hello, this is also the case here, selected files are not marked in blue but in white. The marked files are so very difficult to recognize.
In addition, the program starts in English and not, as with all previous versions, in German. I can't change it manually.
XnViewMP, 1.4.0
Lib format version 7.132
macOS Ventura 13.1
M1 Pro

Re: 1.4.0 - Selected files are not highlighted in browser.
I use the light macOS theme. And there the difference between marked and unmarked files is hardly noticeable.
I set the dark macOS theme to test. With this, the marked files are clearly visible, not in blue, but in a dark gray in contrast to the unmarked files, which are shown in light gray.
I haven't found a way to change the theme within XnView yet. XnView is light on macOS light theme setting and dark on macOS dark theme setting.

That was my mistake with the language, sorry. While searching for a solution for the marked files, I overlooked this setting option. This option was set to "System Settings", which is German. XnView MP did not take care of this when installing the new version. But now I can set it manually.
Thank you for your efforts and a "Merry Christmas" to all

Re: 1.4.0 - Selected files are not highlighted in browser.
I just ran into the same problem:
I can no longer select consecutive files with SHIFT+LEFT MOUSE CLICK, and I no longer can select more than one file with CMD+LEFT MOUSE CLICK.
macOS Catalina version 10.15.7 (19H2026), XNVIEW 9.1.4
Standard installation
Standard color scheme (silver)
No plug-ins or any other modifications
The previous version
XnView MP MacOSX Version 1.3.1 64bits (Oct 11 2022)
Libformat version 7.126
worked flawlessly
I did not modify or change any setting for years…
