Nef thumbnail extraction from D200 Nikon

Hello,
I would like to know if anyone can help me in Extracting the Raw Thumbnails from a Nikon D200. I am not looking to view thumbnails as it does in XnView...but I need to go to the location in my Mac where the actual thumbnail resides. I do not want to shrink an image down to thumbnail size, I need to see the actual Nef thumbnail in its folder so that I can copy it out to view in a forensic app like Imagej. Can anyone help me with this as it is very important.
