B2: Videos cannot be deleted/moved/renamed

In view mode, video files cannot be deleted, also if they are stopped. Not 100% bug, but it would be very useful, esp. for many short videos from digital cameras or cell phones. If Delete key is pressed, first, video should be stopped, then 'released' and then deleted.

In browser, video files cannot be deleted too, but when I press Delete key, error dialog is shown, then press Enter and then video file is 'released' can be deleted with Delete key.

In view and browser mode, video files cannot be also moved and renamed.

Edit: Only MOV files!

XnView 1.82 <x>

b2, deleted ini

Partial confirmation.

In windowed View I can delete running and stopped videos.
In Browser I can delete videos.
In Browser I can rename video, also when it is played.

BUT

When in Browser I try to move played file, XnView freezes till the end of clip and then moves file.

How did you try to move/rename files in View?

X.

OK, only MOV files! I use QuickTime Alternative 1.46.

Alt+M / F2 or menu > Edit...

I get this error when trying to delete a MOV file while it is playing in the Preview pane:

If I stop the MOV file and then press DEL nothing happens!

I get this error when trying to rename a MOV file:

I get this error when trying to move a MOV file (the preview in preview pane disappears afterwards too!)

Kind of sends XnView back to the stone age doesn't it :)

ckit,
Do you use Apple Quicktime or Quicktime Alternative?

I use Apple QuickTime 7.0.3 (non-pro)
I do use Real Alternative and keep copies of QuickTime Alternative backed up.

Xyzzy, can you confirm these bugs with MOVs too?
I use Apple QuickTime 7.0.3 (non-pro)
So Quicktime Alternative is not a problem.

I fully confirm with MOV files. I have Apple QuickTime Player 6.1 installed on Windows XP SP2.

What about this? MOV is stopped when I press Delete, but then error dialog is shown.

MOV doesn't stop for me, I get Recycle Bin message, click Yes and get a File Sharing Violation error -> file isn't deleted.

I don't think this will get fixed before XnView 1.82 final as it isn't that important really. I prefer to use MPC with XnView for videos.
