When using 'Import and Sort' to transfer folders containing images and a few AAE files, xnView attempts to copy the AAE files twice. The AAE file is copied successfully the first time, then it tries to copy that same file again which results in a window opening that prompts me to Replace/Skip, or Rename the file as "Copy of "<original filename>."AAE".

Effect: Since all filesname are unique, and the destination folder is initially empty, there should be no naming conflicts during transfer.

To reproduce:
1. Create a source folder with two files: IMAGE1.JPG & IMAGE1.AAE. Create an empty destination folder
2. Click Tools>Import and sort.
3. Select the source folder and destination folders you just created.
4.Click OK

Actual behaviour (bug):
-user gets prompted to Skip/Replace/ or Rename the AAE file.
-With the popup window still open, use Finder to navigate into the destination folder to see that IMAGE1.AAE is already copied.
-click Rename in the popup window.
-File "Copy of IMAGE1.AAE" now also appears in the folder.

Expected behaviour: AAE files should be copied once with no popup window appearing

I can't reproduce, do you use companion files settings?

I wonder if issue is specific to MacOS? I can also reproduce the issue in a MacOS 12.01 vm, but on Win10 the issue could not be reproduced.

The only companion file setting that is checked ON is"Show Companion files". I added aae to the jpg companion list and that made no difference.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
