How could one export / import (transfer to another XnViewMP) all of one's own settings?

I can't personalty advise on which files are likely to be relevant, or on the most suitable location for the various files among the options available.

Many thanks!

Do you mean these files (after clicking "Config files location")(?):
And I have to move / copy them manually? Or is there an import / export option (I am missing)?

In the Integration menu click on the buttons labelled Open Config Files Location and Open the Catalog Location.
I can't advise on which of those files you need to backup or copy depending on your detailed needs.

Sorry for my bad understanding. What does that mean to my question in my last post? So what I did was not the right way? Is there an import / export option somewhere?
In the Integration menu click on the buttons labelled Open Config Files Location and Open the Catalog Location.
Sorry, what is the Catalog Location, what catalog at all?
I can't advise on which files you need to backup or copy depending on your detailed needs.
I just want to get my settings to another XnView. How can I do that?
Sorry again for understanding (almost) nothing.

These are the buttons I referred to. If you only want to save your XnView MP program settings, rather than the various browser database settings, you only need to open the
Paths tab and save your .ini file. You can then transfer your program settings to another computer by copying that file into the same location on that computer.
Note that I use Linux not Windows, so you display may not be identical to mine.

OK, so then the only thing I need to do (to transfer my own settings to another XnView) is to just copy that xnview.ini file to the same location of the other XnView:
That also could be done by just copying that file with (without using XnView) a usual file browser / Win Explorer (that will be opened when clicking that button "Open Config Files Location"), I guess. So there is no import / export option availabe in XnView. Just this single xnview.ini file to copy.
So if one wanted to transfer one's settings to a new / newer / updated XnView one had to know which other files (not being updated) may not be transferred.
Many thanks!

It seems just copying the xnview.ini is not enough, e.g the favorites are not transferred. And I assume other own settings as well. I just will leave it like it is. So I do not have any idea at all of which files / folders have to be transferred to get all of one's own settings / data to a new XnView.
Thank you very much again.

Michel038 is the expert on these things.
Reading your posts above again, I that think you should probably try coping all the files in the configuration options above to the second computer, to 'clone' the first computer settings to the second computer.
