Need Keyword/Subject Ability in XMP Editor

It has came to my attention that IPTC Keywords are only ever single level Keywords.
Calling them "Subjects", XMP handles heirarchical Keywords very well.
I had intended to take advantage of this by creating XMP templates containing heirarchical Keywords/Subjects so as to be able to quickly apply preloaded heirarchical Keywords.
Alas, when I investigated the XMP Editor, I find no means of including Keywords/Subjects in the templates.
Am I missing something ?
Is it possible to include this ability in a future version ?
Thanks for all the hard work; it is appreciated.

right, keyword/subject can be changed in 'categories' panel, it's why i have not included it.
You need to create template with keywords in XMP editor, right?

I appreciate the new ability to create and add keyword tags in the XMP editor; HOWEVER, and maybe I just don't know what I am doing --- I cannot get any part of the feature to work for me, save for the fact that it will create an XMP template from a jpeg that already carries the heirarchical keyword tags; and, when I open and investigate the template, my heirarchical keyword tags are saved in the template.
HOWEVER, when I try to apply the template, NOTHING HAPPENS.
Also, when I try to manually add the heirarchical keyword tags within the XPM Editor, I can type them in to the appropriate line, but no way can I get them to transfer to the space below -- the list of tags.
Please advise; thanks.
