XNViewMP crashing on Videos

Have to say I much prefered using XnView Classic. But recently have started to use XnViewMP for the video support. But was getting so many crashes on video playback its become unusable.
Installed the latest update and its worse. XnView MP Windows - Version 1.4.3 64bits (Feb 25 2023)
Its completely random. Sometimes its the first video sometimes its after 5 or 6. It complete freezes and I have to force quit from task manager to get out of it. Doesn't seem to be related to encoding type, filetype, size of video. I do not see excessive memory or cpu usage.
I see older versions had this problem for a few people. But not many, and I've not seen recent reports of it.
Help

Thanks.
Went crazy when I did that. So I uninstalled MP and Classic. Reinstalled MP and can't reproduce the crash now. If it happens again I'll post the log.
Thanks

XnView MP Windows
Version 1.4.3 64bits (Feb 25 2023)
Windows 11 ver 22H2
Crashes on trying to play MP4 or MOV files
Shows SandGlass and screen locks up. Only way to exit is the close window button or end task with task manager. The former generates a XnView MP is not responding error from Windows.
I copied xnview.ini to xnview.ini.old and changed xnview.ini entry "debug=0" to "debug=2"
The xnview.ini file was in c:\Users\<MyUserName>\AppData\Roaming\XnViewMP\
I don't see that this generates any log files of the format xnv*.log. Where are the log files and what are their names?

I did try this. On my machine it opened a console debug window for any click events. Perhaps you can copy and paste this output. I didn't try. I reinstalled XnView MP. I was too tired to try with the new install. I have had one crash since. So I'll probably be able to recreate it eventually.

I've tried setting the debug=2 again. But it resets every time back to 0.

Yes. I save. Checked it not read only or anything.
I guess I could do another clean install.
