Normally, I cull my images by going into Image View Mode and incrementally rate the photo. However, I noticed that when I go into Browser Mode after I filtered for image with, let’s say 3-star and above, and go to Image View by double-clicking, the viewer did not apply the filter I chose (It still show images with 2-star).

Is there anyway to set it so that when I go to the the viewer again, it automatically show the filtered image?

in browser, you have only 3-stars images, and when you view into tab you have 2-stars ones?

I'm so for the miscommunication. English is not my first language.

What I meant is that when I filter for pictures with 3-star and above in Browser Mode and double-click a picture to go to Image View Mode, the viewer still show all the pictures as if there is no filter at all.

what do you use for rating filter, the 'filter pane' or the menu?

I filtered by this panel.

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.5. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
