XnViewMP 1.4.4 64 bit
Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

Example: 482 single image files (1.1 GB) on a fast NVME disk

Effect: selecting the files and deleting them hangs the program for 11 seconds (longer for lager amounts of files). Ubuntu asks to kill the program.

To contrast: selecting and copy/pasting the same files in XnView is almost instant (<0.5s), as is deleting a folder with these files (<0.1s)

To reproduce: select a large amount of images in a folder, press delete, click "yes"

Expected behaviour: deleting files should take roughly the same amount of time as copy/pasting them, and not hang the program

Yes this only occurs when using recycle bin. Still, I do not expect deleting files to hang the program or take longer than moving or copy/pasting them.
