One thing i noticed after installing Beta 1 and Beta 2 is that switching between images takes way too long it LAGS so much like 2-3 seconds to switch between images even though system resources usage is not high in task manager Performance tab, rolled back to v1.4.5 problem gone, all same settings used.

With previous/next file? What do you have in Settings>View - high zoom quality in b2? Do you use ICC?

unchecking 'Settings>View>Misc - two pass rendering' solve the crash?

.arw files from Sony camera
Zoom Out: Bilinear, Zoom in: None
ICC disabled in Settings, identical config used for both 1.4.5 and 1.5.0 B2

No, still same slow.

Embedded Preview,

P.S. Even JPEG files are noticeably slower loading in 1.5.0 B2 compared to v1.4.5

Embedded Preview,
Strange, i can't reproduce. please send me a .arw sample file?

It's related to 'Settings>View>Misc - two pass rendering'

It was set to Full-Size, which is default setting i believe. Changing to Embedded fixed EXTREME LAG issue for RAW's.

However there is still noticeably slower performance for JPEG files in v1.5.0 B2 compared to 1.4.5

I have old computer with built-in graphic card, perhaps that slowdown is not noticeable on faster GPU rendered setups.

Ok, will be fixed in b3. It's a bug, it use full size and not embedded
However there is still noticeably slower performance for JPEG files in v1.5.0 B2 compared to 1.4.5
Even with 'Settings>View>Misc - two pass rendering' unchecked?

Initially it appeared that JPEG load slower because i turned off two pass rendering to troubleshoot RAW image issue, after turning "two pass rendering" back ON its identical load speed for JPEG in both v1.4.5 and v1.5.0 B2.

AFAIK "embedded" is the default. Using Full-size is indeed very slow, but it's the same on 1.4.5
It has to demosaic / develop the RAW file before it can render it which takes some compute power.
So either use half-size if you really want to view the RAW image (without any curves applied will look low in contrast and saturation) or embedded to see how it looks with your camera's default JPEG processing.

There are two different options, "embedded" is default for displaying RAW's, for processing RAW's with batch convert etc, it defaults to "Full size"...

Yes, thank you!
