b3: Establish higher minimum requirement?

I think fonts/dialogs large enough for old eyes (or high resolution monitors) is an important topic. Perhaps establishing an official higher minimum requirement and making everything as large as possible would be best? Resizable dialogs?
Currently, 800x600small fonts is the effective minimum (some dialogs have expanded).
I'm trying to adjust to 1024x768. Can web page html provide information about the typical desktop size of Xnview users?

Hmm, larger fonts/dialogs take up space and hide other GUI elements giving, to 99% or so users, nothing in exchange.

Aren't tools built into Windows enough?
