Slideshow
there is difference in default action after slideshow end:
- Use timer - slideshow closes
- Use keyboard.. - last slide remain and do not closes until Enter/Esc is pressed

Suggestion
unify after finish action

• just close slideshow

• add combobox with
  - Do nothing
  - Close slideshow (default action)
  - Close XnViewMP
  not sure how it will work if

You means that pressing any keys must close slideshow?

yep, behaviour in the end of slideshow shall be consistant in both modes (auto/manual)
so, pressing any key in the last slide shall close slideshow in manual mode as it closes after last slide in auto mode
OR
add "After finish" combobox, where it will be possible to change behaviour explicitly

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.5.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
