Hello everyone, and sorry if this topic already exists. English I had once in school and that are already 45 years ago.
The texts are translated from German with DEEPL.

I use in XnView MP very often the function "Open with...".
Here I have used the APP "Gimp". Since the update to version 1.5.0, this no longer works and Gimp gives error messages when loading:

I'm having problems too, so I'm investigating to find out what is blocking.
In the meantime, you can recreate the entries and it works, using the last column for the parameters.

There seems to be an incompatibility with the previous version, which had only one parameter zone.

the previous parameter should be used as last parameter in 1.5.0

Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.5.1. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Most of the problems were with my configuration.

I had moved ExifTool to C:\Xnview\ so that I could test how ExifTool worked with configuration files, or other files without changing the default working directory C:\Xnview\ .

Other "Open with" actions to bat files had the same problem. (moved)

By looking at OpenWith= OpenWithName= OpenWithParam= in the [start] section I was able to correct my errors.

And the real bugs (if they existed) disappeared, because I had rewritten the broken "Open with" entries.
