Second time: descript.ion file: Missing when moving entire photo directories

Hello XnView team,

unfortunately a bug that has already been fixed by you has reappeared:

When moving entire directories using the internal browser, the Discript.ion file is lost. When moving single files (jpg, arw, rw2), the respective information of the files is transferred properly into the Discript.ion file of the target directory, or a new Discript.ion file is created there and the data is entered there.

The error message at that time can be found at:
viewtopic.php?p=169064#p169064

Solution: This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.98.3. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Now today the problem exists again.

My SW setup:
  • XnViewMP version 1.5.0 64bits (Jul 10 2023)
  • Windows 11 22H2 (Build 22621.2070)
So I need your help again...

Hi,

yes, I can confirm the bug fix.

Moving entire folders as well as individual images worked properly.

But there are further problems by handling the descript.ion file during single rename or batch rename of files.
I think it's best to start a new issue

Thanks for your great support
