XnView Software

XnView: MP 1.5.4 - 64 bit
OS: Mac OS 13.5.1 (22G90)

XnView MP hangs on startup after installation of the new version. It is unusable on my Mac. I installed the 1.5.3 version again. That works.

Do you start it in browser mode?

I removed the directory of the settings (<user>/.config/xnviewmp) and started the app using the default settings. Then a window appears which allows defining the place of the ini-File and other settings. I left this untouched and continued. Thereafter, the app freezes immediately.

Do you have TIFF in your home folder or subfolder?

No, there are only directories in my home folder. The previous version runs without problems. What do you mean with subfolder? There are of course TIFF-files in some subfolders of my home folder. XnViewMP should be able to handle them.

There i an issue with TIFF files, i release a 1.5.5 today

OK, great! I shall try the update as soon as possible and let you know whether this solved the problem. Until then, I can work with 1.5.3.

By the way, thank you for the great job. I love XnViewMP. It is the center app of my photo management and processing.
