Subject: 1.5.5.0.XvView MP - bug with video files

XnView: MP 1.5.5 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

Program stop to run with video files

Effect: Program hangs: Program bug when I try to read or move video files: program stop du run, I had to close it (and I can only to do it whith the "report to windows")

I had not this problem previously, if I install "previous" XnView MP, I have still the problem

To reproduce:
1. open a folder with image and video file
2. click on one image: ok
3. click on one video file: reading of video file begin
4. two second later, XnView stop to run

Same problem if
1. open a folder with image and video file
2. delete or add an image file. The order of all the files in the folder are moved (included video file)
3. XnView stop to run

Expected behaviour: possibility to rearrange all the files, including video files, as previously with XnView open and running

Thanks

I can confirm this issue with version 1.5.5. Pictures and Avi do work. All other video files cause XnvieMP to crash.

you had same crash in previous version? crash with mp4? could you change in xnview.ini debug=2, and send the logs?

This bug has not been mentioned in the changelog of latest versions. But with version 1.6.1 it seems the bug not there anymore.

flv and mp4 files are video container for different video formats.

https://www.videohelp.com/software/MediaInfo

Maybe a tool like MediaInfo can help to analyse the content of the video file, fornat, etc.

FLV files are sometimes very special.

Thanks but unfortunatly the problem does not come from the video files, I have tried A LOT of them and in different formats. Each time the program crashes. But I use Xnview to sort folders which contain both images and videos inseparably.
What is unfortunate is that in olders versions (at least 3 or 4 previous versions), I did not have this problem.
I tried uninstalling Xnview to reinstall older versions but the problem seems rooted. Incompatibility with some Windows updates?

Please enable debug=2 in xnview.ini, and send me the logs when you try to play a video file
