1.5.5 - batch conversion - delete original file does not work!

I started a batch conversion job (png files loseless to webp loseless).
I actived the 'delete original file' checkbox in batch conversion dialog.
Then I started the conversion.
I saw a warning message "The delete original is enabled, do you want to continue?".
I pressed the 'yes' button and the conversion starts.
The conversion saved the webp files correctly, but did not delete the original file.

I converted png files from C:\temp (Windows Boot SSD - full read/write rights), but the problem also occure on other harddisks with full read/write access.
I tested it with XnviewMP 1.5.4 and get the same problem. In the past the checkbox for deleting original works fine.

Have you confirmed the Flatpak version downloaded in Help > About, often there is a delay before those versions are updated...

yes, the version is

I tried AppImage from your site and it worked. I am rather new to Linux(and my English is not so good). I remember that sometimes flatpaks need extra permissions or something(I used to use FlatSeal to add something to flatpak version of Firefox, [don't remember exactly, it did not remembered last opened directory of uploads or something] ).
I've tried to install DEB, but there is error saying that I don't have libglib2.0 (>= 2.33.14),

but I have it already? "selecting 'libglib2.0-0t64' instead of 'libglib2.0-0'
libglib2.0-0t64 is already the newest version (2.80.0-6ubuntu3.1)."
I don't want to mess packages by monkey pressing Y(es) during installs, so I skipped DEB.
Anyway, now that I have working Appimage version, I don't care that much about that one function in Flatpak, when I need batch conversion, I can switch to Appimage version. Thanks for replying. Keep up good work, XnView is for many older users closes thing to Irfan View. Someone used to this type of workflow can't get used to dumbed down gnome-ish apps (stripped beyond bare minimum).
