XnView Software

I have happily used XnView for years, but I think I've found a bug that is really annoying. I'm using Windows 10 v22H2 19045.3448.

I put my original photos in a particular folder - no problem. Then I edit them in another program (e.g. Corel Photopaint) and save them into a different folder. The thumbnails of the edited photos do not reflect the changes made to the files (e.g. cropping), but look the same as the thumbnails of the original photos. However, if I click on the thumbnail of an edited photo, the image displayed in the preview pane is correct. If I double click the thumbnail to enlarge it, it shows the edited file.

I've attached a screenshot to show how the thumbnail is different from the previewed image.

Do you mean that the thumbnail embedded in the file by my editing programs (Corel PhotoPaint) has not been updated to match the edited image?

This seems plausible, although the correct thumbnail is displayed by Windows Explorer (see screenshot).
