Problem to save a *.orf as *.jpg

Hello Pierre,
I am working with XnViewMP 1.5.5 on my Windows 10 system.
I open a *.orf image with doubleclick from browser.
In the new tab I click - save as and select *.jpg as format with e.g
- no optimisations
- DCT slow
- create a new thumbnail and
- keep Exif, IPTC, XMP and also ICC_profile. (image does only contain Exif-metadata)
and click save.
When I now display all metadata with Exiftool, it gives
- 14 warnings
- one special is: bad ExifIFD directory
- no thumbnail can be extracted.
This is strange and I think it should not happen.
My 2nd question is: why is filesize only about 3 MB for the 14MB image *.orf.
