Effect:
Thumbnail-view IGNORES the embedded image in any VIDEO files; and always uses your auto-generated thumbnail from the video itself.

To reproduce:
1. take a video that has an embedded thumbnail image; and a video that does NOT...
2. in XnView-MP, go to thumbnail view
3. in Windows Explorer, go to thumbnail view
4. (compare them)

Actual behavior (bug): in XnView-MP, you see the auto-generated thumbnail for both.
in Windows Explorer, you see auto-generated thumbnail for one; and the embedded image for the other.

Expected behavior: should look similar to Window Explorer's thumbnail view.

embedded image is not used for video file

hmmm... what is?

embedded image is what I found in a EXIFtool forum (and obviously) Microsoft uses it.

But I'm happy to be corrected.
I just need to know what I should be using. (and suggestions on how to add it would be great if possible)
(any help here would be appreciated)

as for me its not not a big deal, but it would be nice to have cover images support, like in MS Photos, FastStone
