XnView Software

Hello all,

refresh (F5 or Strg R) is not working anymore.
Changing or clearing GPS data is working, but not refreshing the list.
The first given GPS date is still on display.

Restarting or reinstalling the software did not fix that bug.

Did I make a mistake?

Can somebody help me on that issue?

GPS date??

I think refresh is not working at all.
I use XnView 1.6.2
After saving a picture to a folder I have in my favorites, it's not showing there. F5 doesn't help.
Only leaving the folder and returning shows the new saved picture.

Hi,
I checked again and the behavior is really strange.
I have XnView open showing a folder on my hard drive in thumbnail mode. Path: D:\Pictures\XNViewTest
If I copy a picture from another folder on my drive to the folder, XnView automatically updates and shows the thumbnail.
Everything as expected.

If I save a PNG picture out of my application "Daz Studio" to the same folder, XnView doesn't update.
Pressing F5 doesn't help. What is working is switching to a different folder and back in XnView, or clicking on the toolbar button to view pictures in subfolders.

It also helps to rename the saved PND in Windows Explorer. After renaming it appears in XnView without manual refresh.

If I save in JPG format it also works as expected.
Saving PNG files from other applications to this folder also works. So I think it must be something special in the way Daz Studio saves PNG files.

Really weird.

which 'sort by' & 'filter by' do you use?

Sort by Name
Filter By Images + Folders

Perhaps XnView start to read the PNG file written by Daz Studio but can't load it correctly. Do you have same problem with 'Filter by All'?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. With 'Filter by All' the thumbnail is displayed as expected.
