This bug appears on versions XnView 2.51.3, 2.51.4, and 2.51.5

It does not appear on v 2.51.2 or earlier.

Reinstalling old version 2.51.2 no problem.
Installing 2.51.3 or 2.51.4 or 2.51.5 small exe results in the problem again.

small package doesn't contains webp plugin (which needs libsharpyuv), so i think that you have old files in the install folder

If I may clarify, when you say "small package does not contain webp plugin" - Do you mean to say that XnView-minimal cannot open .webp pictures?

If yes, I was the actual creator of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=41547

It's time, please consider it, we know it's already in other versions of XnView but .webp is everywhere now, so it needs to be acknowledged in XnView Minimal setup too.


You were then kind enough to include .webp in minimal packages of XnView. After I started that thread in 2021.
I am able to open .webp on my Windows 8.1 drive image which contains XnView 2.51.2 Minimal.

So when I reimage my operating system partition which has XnView 2.51.2 Minimal - everything is fine.
The moment I install any version after that: 2.51.3 Minimal or later - I get that error on XnView launch, even if I don't try to open .webp file.
