Disable update check on start?

Often times I want to hold off on updating to the latest version (due to not needing to do it IMMEDIATELY, but still needing to go through pics for work) and every single time I double click a picture, the update notice pops up and I have to manually click the close button.

It's effectively a "Nag" screen.

I've looked through the settings and saw no obvious way of disabling it; can it be done? super annoying :| .

Newp. I had it set to "weekly" so it would only check weekly (not every startup), which is how I want it.

Tried setting it just now to "never". Closed the app. double click a .jpg, and sure enough, the update nag pops up again.

Looks like blocking the app entirely via my firewall stops it, but then I'm never able to check it manually, or weekly.

you have "never", and you have the dialog when double click a .jpg?
