Am trying to assign a function to F3
It is already taken. However, I can't find by what/where.

F3 is not listed in settings > shortcuts.
Any suggestions?

When I hit F3 within XnViewMP the screen flashes, but nothing seems to happen, that is to say, I do not see anything happening.

Yes, indeed, it would be nice to configure these default F-keys.
In my case..., in browser mode, in case of image files, except for PSD, all image files are associated with XnViewMP.
Hence just double click or hit [Enter] does the same as F3: it launches XnViewMP, i.e. I could have used F3 for something else.
(in other application F3 is very often used to change modified date, so I wanted to assign this to F3 in XnViewMP as well)
