my idea/wish is that the slideshow should have an option for scrolling a panaroma.

So for example, set 'fit to window height', and scroll the picture?

yes pierre, :)

maybe some people always prefer to fit a picture in the window.
but if you have a big panorama picture you will see only a small "line".
therefore the slideshow should have an option "automatic scrolling of panorama pictures". if this is enabled, then use picture/windows heigth and scroll the picture from rigth to left.

second step/ nice-to-have-features:
- speed of scrolling
- automatic scrolling than ratio of height and weigth is bigger than 1:XXX

Hi,

just want to note that Dirk is not alone here with that wish - this would be a *very* nice feature! :)

Some way of automatically determining what pictures should be considered panoramic is essential, but IMHO not too hard: just add an option for an aspect ratio limit, e.g. anything wider than 3:2 will be considered a panorama.
It would also be nice if that worked for vertical panoramas (scrolling vertically) as well as for "normal" horizontal panoramas.

Cheers, Lars.

P.S.: Combined with the suggestion posted here, this would make XnView a perfect slideshow presenter for large screens (beamer/projector):

Was this feature implemented ?
I'm looking for a image viewer that has slideshow feature and can 100% pan in when the image is a panorama ( scrolling in it )
I tested XnView because of this topic but haden't found the feature.
