Saving XMP metadata to HEIC photo raises error

Editing of XMP metadata of single heic photo taken from iPhone.
When writing XMP metadata to heic photo this error is thrown

files are not read only.

Currently embedded XMP can only be written on JPEG, PNG & TIFF

thanx for clarification. will stick to JPEG workflow.
