Rating automatically canceled

When I filter out the photos with a score (1 to 5), every time I crop, edit and overwrite the photos, the score is automatically canceled and needs to be re-marked. Is there any need to improve?

I have experienced same problems. When a image is edited in XnView, the rating is removed in browser.

After any changes are made to the image and the file is saved (in XnView), the original mark rating will be automatically cancelled.

Simple example:
1) Mark a JPG image as 5 stars (Ctrl+5)
2) Double-click the image to enter editing mode
3) Select Curve/Crop
4) Any changes
5) The result is the image tag
6) Select Save (S)
The 5-star mark of this JPG image is automatically cancelled.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.7.1. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

One more thing, please follow up. If the image has been rating, if you change the format later (such as converting from PNG to JPG), the rating will be automatically removed.

you need to save the rating in the metadata of files
