Status bar filename: too few characters

Could you please extend the filename's maximum characters in the status bar?
It's always limited to like 40 even if there's plenty of space on modern displays.

It would be useful when scrolling pics in browsing mode with thumbnails.
(I know there are other modes and views, but they're different usage cases)

Umm.. I didn't find such entry in the config file (v1.6.4).
I tried adding maxCharsFilename=100 under [Browser], but nothing changed.

Cool, it still works for both modes. Thanks!
(but please, add it also to the UI options at some point)

hope this reply didnt dig out some dead threads

just wanna say that it took me hours to finially find a solution here

I tend to hide every unnecessary tabs or subwinodws when scanning folders with pictures, so the status bar can be critical to tell the folder with similar names such xxx 01 and xxx 02.
Tried gbt, google, and setting going through with no solution until this thread.
