Fullscreen view does not close properly (MacOs, XV1.6.5)

I'm trying out XnView, very nice so far :)

An issue on latest MacOS:

STEPS:
1. in browser window, right-click image > Fullscreen
Result: image opens fullscreen, on a new 'desktop' (this is optional in MacOS afaik. It means I can switch between Viewer, Browser, and other fullscreen apps with 3-Finger swipes)
2. press ESC to close the Viewer
Result: you go back to the Browser desktop

PROBLEM:
the Viewer desktop is still open, it shows a completely black canvas.
If you click ESC on that desktop, both the Viewer and the Browser exit.

If this is hard to imagine, I could make a screenshot.
Basically, after closing the Viewer with ESC, when I 3-finger swipe UP to show the MacOS desktops, I see 4 thumbnails
[Desktop] [XnView MP] [XnView] [Affinity Photo]
where the [XnView] desktop is just a black rectangle.

Thanks for all your excellent work. I hope I can bend this fine tool to my workflows.
