WebP - Is there a reason not to use the highest "compression method"?

other than speed that is.. or does it affect quality as well?
the 0-6 setting in webp, not the 0-100 "level" setting.

the webp library supports 0-6 compression

I meant does 6/6 produce worse quality than 0/6? or is it lossless compression rate (like 7zip options) - purely slower for higher compression, without the quality loss at the same "0-100 level".
