Hi!

For several versions now (I am currently on 1.7.1), I have been experiencing problems when moving files. There is always one file that gives me an error. It copies but does not allow deletion. I believe it is related to this error:

viewtopic.php?f=82&t=47024

That is, because this file was selected and is playing in the preview (even though this panel may not be displayed), which should be a bug, xnview is not able to delete the video, just like when the video is open in a tab.

you move files (with a video file) from thumbnail view into thumbnail view? into folder view? with move dialog?

Hi, I have same problem.
When I drag and drop .mp4 file(s) into folder view, it always show "Cannot remove source" error.
version = 1.7.1 windows

It only happens when I drag files from Details view to folder view.
No errors in thumbnail view, and no errors when use dialog.

The problem is not solved at all.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.7.2. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

I'll try multiple move/deletions in the coming days and confirm if no recurrence. Thank's Pierre

Known problem, difficult to reproduce as it may be fine 10 times and one day some files or folders becomes locked by XnView and only way is to close the App
