Could the video codecs be made optional?

The "MP" version of XnView is a bit heavy. It contains a few dozen MB of video codecs. Because of this, it doesn't run on Server 2008 R2 without the Desktop Experience Pack, due to being linked against MFPlat.dll and other Media Foundation DLLs. Usually everyone already has one or a few video players that bundle ffmpeg and work well, and don't slow down browsing of image thumbnails. Video in graphics programs is a bit out of place. It's not like most people will watch movies or listen to a music from the file browser.
I don't know how deeply video is integrated into QT. Perhaps the installer could have a checkbox for installing video codecs. I can't just delete them because the program requires mdk.dll to start.
