OS: Windows 11 24H2

XnView shows artifacts while selecting images and images selection lags

To reproduce:
1. select images with mouse

Expected behaviour: No artifacts, no lags

so its a regression

there wasnt such issue in version 1.7.1

I can reproduce it in all versions since 0.85, including 1.7.1

mmm, you are right, im trying now with 1.7.1 and its the same

i didnt notice probably because i usualy drag the mouse to up and left direction in which case there are no artifacts

but in other directions there are
