Hi.

I get SVG thumbnails but no thumbnail for my pdf images. How do I activate this?

XnViewMP 1.7.2 on Ubuntu 24.04LTS.

In Settings>File list>Custom Filters the AI/PS/PDF "Visible" and "Show as thumbnail" checkboxes are checked
In Settings>View>Filter "Custom" is selected and "AI/PS/PDF" is checked

sudo apt list ghostscript shows:
ghostscript/noble,now 10.02.1~dfsg1-0ubuntu7 amd64 [installed,automatic]
ghostscript/noble 10.02.1~dfsg1-0ubuntu7 i386

In the file browser of Ubuntu (Files, aka Nautilus) the pdf thumbnails show, and the pdf can be opened and displayed (Document viewer, aka Evince).

Yes, from a terminal.

> gs

it opens and writes the following in the terminal and opens a white frame:

Here is the part of the log that appears when I select a pdf which I randomly chose.
In the text below, I replaced the full path by [...]

Yes, version 10.02.1 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Very good point to suspect the pdfs: I did not realize that it seems to only fail for pdfs that I recently produced (I made a lot of illustrations in the recent months). They are produced by various recent versions of Inkscape, including 1.2.2 and Inkscape 1.4-beta (62f545b, 2024-04-22). It shows well under every viewer, including gs called from a terminal. I joined one to this message (if I understood how to attach files in this newsgroup) that I just created with Inkscape 1.2.2.
