As you probably know, Linux has moved from xorg to wayland. It would be important to support this new protocol in order to be a viable alternative.

For what I've tested, the QT versions needs to be updated to be compatible with HiDPI though.

i'm using the version 1.8.2 on linux with wayland and plasma 6.2.2, qt 6.7.2
But, the user interface is waaay too small,
the fonts in the tree-view on a 4K screen are barely readable
the only fonts i can configure are those of the main UI (view > info > font)
In previous versions, this wasn't a problem at all....?
Any help on this?

Same issue here it is running maybe xwayland but shows x11 indicator when running app, my ubuntu Plucky Puffin is running wayland and the icons and text are blurry and not properly sized for 4K screen with fractional scaling:
Expand the attached image to the largest possible and you see that it isn't a poor quality screen shot it's actually the xnview interface being blurry.
